Also known as Canada’s national museum of military history, the Canadian War Museum is an exhilarating point of interest that explains Canada’s military past and how it shaped the country. Its dramatic architecture exhibits a copper roof with a low-lying body that suddenly extends upwards at an 80-foot height. This magnificent stature is based on the theme of ‘regeneration’ and features energy efficient techniques such as the use of recycled fly ash in the concrete, the use of river water for cooling, and self-seeding grasses on the roof.
